Es war Heute eine kürzere Tagesetappe welche mich nach Eskisehir führte, schon im Herzen Anatoliens. Kleinasien (lateinisch Asia minor, altgriechisch Μικρά Ἀσία Mikra Asia) oder Anatolien (von altgriechisch ἀνατολή anatolē ‚Osten‘; türkisch Anadolu; osmanisch ‏اناطولی‎, İA Anaṭolı) ist jener Teil der heutigen Türkei, der zu Vorderasien gehört.

Die Region die ich vor Eskisehir geradelt bin, ist eine Hügellandschaft, über 800 MSL, geziert von Weidelandschaften, Ackerbau und nahe an der Hauptstrasse mit unzähligen kleinen und mittelständischen Betriebe. Textilindustrie, Marmor und Steinhauereien, Nanotechnologie und andere. Eskisehir selber ist ein industrieller Standort bekannt fuer Flugzeugbau, Lokomotive und Zugbau. Die urbane Entwicklung ist beachtlich und wo man hinschaut sind Baustellen welche der Infrastruktur Verbesserung dienen. Hochgeschwindigkeitszüge bzw. der Ausbau deren Trassen, nagelneue Strassenbahnen und beachtliche Routen. Da die Stadt selber eine starke demographische Expansion in den letzten Jahren erlebte, haben die Politiker eine intelligente Lösung gefunden um die drohende Verzehrlawine Herr zu werden. Sie bauten nicht mehr Strassen sonder verbannen einfach den Verkehr aus der Stadt und gewannen somit in der ganzen Stadt Fussgängerzonen und Lebensqualität, das ganze unterstützt durch ein effektives öffentliches Verkehrsnetz.

Evliya Çelebi (osman. ‏اوليا چلبي‎; *1611 in İstanbul; † nach 1683 auf Reisen, vermutlich in Ägypten) war ein osmanischer Schriftsteller, der in seinem Reisebuch (Seyahatnâme) über seine zahlreichen Reisen im Osmanischen Reich und in den Nachbarländern berichtete. ..it has a lot of elite people and cavalry. It has 17 quarters. The houses in the city are well-built, with gardens full of vegetables and fruits. It has seven tradesmen inns. There are 800 shops in its bazaar. Due to the fact that it has fine weather it has many beautiful girls. The people there are friendly towards those coming from other cities. There are many people wearing broadcloths and various beautiful clothes. The city is surrounded with various gardens full of roses, various beautiful flowers, fruit and vegetables. Its also plenty of cereals…
